BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — A Bridgeport teenager is facing weapons and drug charges after a police raid of his family home led to the seizure of six handguns, two BB guns and 77 packets of heroin.
Nineteen-year-old Marquis “Baby Boy” Jones was arrested following an investigation of a gang that police claim has been responsible for numerous shootings in Bridgeport.
A Bridgeport SWAT team raided his Woodmont Avenue home before members of the Statewide Urban Violence Cooperative Crime Control Task Force searched the residence Friday. They recovered the guns, ammunition, drugs and cash in the home with five small children.
Jones was arrested on charges of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, illegal transfer of a firearms and risk of injury to a minor.
Bond was set at $250,000.
It wasn’t immediately clear if he has an attorney.
