Dogs compete to win “ugliest dog” title

Petaluma, Calif. (WTNH) — Dog owners from all over the country gathered in California over the weekend to see if their dog could take him the “World’s Ugliest Dog” title.

This year’s winner was Peanut from North Carolina. He was disfigured by fire, and his owner rescued him from a shelter. That owner said he didn’t think Peanut was ugly, but apparently the judges thought so!

The runner-up was Quasimodo. He traveled all the way from Florida, and is half dog and half hyena.

Peanut took home a big trophy and $1,500.
