MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH0–Some possible legal trouble for Meriden Schools as a parent claims her daughter was bullied, beaten and taken to the hospital.
There were two reported incidents at Maloney High School.
One parent said her daughter suffered a concussion, bruising, and emotional stress.
She claims a number of school employees failed to supervise and enforce bullying policies.
Meriden Schools say their policy is to respond quickly to complaints and open an investigation.
Some students News 8 talked to have different thoughts about this.
“They don’t enforce [the bullying policy] as much as they should,” said Celina Turner, a recent graduate of Maloney. “They only speak upon it when it’s necessary.”
An attorney representing the 15 year-old and her mother says no lawsuit is expected to be filed until they figure out where she’ll attend school in the fall.
