Red Cross in need of blood donations during summer

WTNH– The American Red Cross is urging people to donate blood during the Independence Day holiday.

The Red Cross says this is a period where donations have historically declined so they are urging eligible donor to make plans to donate blood in the upcoming weeks.

All blood and platelet donor during June 30th to July 7th will receive a commemorative Red Cross T-shirt, while supplies last.

With the community’s support, the Red Cross can help ensure blood will be available all summer long to help save lives.
