Customers rolling in to Connecticut strawberry farms

HAMDEN, Conn. (WNTH)–Strawberries are big business in this state, and now’s the time to get out and go pick up a pint or two of the delicious fruit.

At farm stand across Connecticut, costumers are rolling in to get their hands on some.

“They’re so juicy, they’re so sweet,” said farmer Elizabeth Hindinger. “We’ve been picking for about three weeks.”

But before the berries can purchased in neat little cartons, they first need to be harvested.

News 8’s Josh Scheinblum got a look at this tasty process, and has all of the details.
