WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH)–A silver Ford F-150 swerved off the road and crashed into a two-story brick house on Oak Street Thursday night.

The truck was filled with branches from a newly cut tree.

According to the Waterbury Republican-American, a witness said he heard screeching tires and a bang from his nearby home. He rushed over to find the truck had smashed into the vacant housing unit.

The witness said the driver had swerved to avoid someone in the road.

No one was injured in the accident.

Waterbury Fire Chief Brett McAllister told the Republican-American that the driver swerved to avoid a motorcycle. The newspaper reported that the house had been struck by a car in the past.
