Car strikes tree head-on in Middletown, two 19-year olds with serious injuries

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH)–A serious car accident took place in the area of 1124 Millbrook Road on Saturday afternoon.

Police said a 2005 Subaru Impreza, occupied by two 19 year old males, was traveling south on Millbrook Road when the car failed to negotiate a curve in the road, traveled off of the east side of the roadway and struck a tree head-on.

Both occupants were transported to Hartford Hospital via Hunter Ambulance Service for treatment of apparent serious injuries.

The names of the occupants are being withheld until notification of family members.

The accident is being investigated by the Middletown Police Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed or has information about the accident to contact officer Michael Inglis at 860-638-4063.
