NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– A New Haven bank was robbed for the second in about a month, by two armed men Friday afternoon.

Police responded to the First Niagra Bank at 36 Fountain Street around 4:18 PM where bank associates told them that two masked black men entered the bank, each armed with a handgun.

They demanded money from the tellers before leaving in a white Toyota Corolla that was parked on Central Avenue.

No one was injured.

One suspect was said to be wearing a black and white plaid button up shirt and black pants. He was also carrying a white bag, which he carried the stolen money in. The other suspect was wearing a black jacket and light colored pants. He used a black plastic bag to carry the stolen money. Both were wearing baseball type hats.

This bank was robbed on May 23rd yet there hasn’t been any evidence that suggests these robberies are connected.

Anyone with information or who witnessed the robbery is asked to call police at 203-946-6304.
