Stolen S. Windsor car recovered in Hartford

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — Police recover a stolen Cadillac STS that was stolen from a closed garage.

The victim suspected that a recent house guest was to blame.

Officers used the car’s OnStar vehicle locator service to track down the vehicle, which was found in Hartford.

The person in possession of the car said he bought it from someone matching the suspect’s description for $3,000. South Windsor and Hartford police were able to find and arrest the suspect.

The suspect, 20-year-old Andre Baena of Suffield, told police he had loaned the car to the man in Hartford in exchange for drugs.

Baena is charged with Larency in the Second degree and Burglary in the Third degree. He is being held on $5,000 surety bond and will be in court today.
