MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — A teenager remains in critical condition at Hartford Hospital after hitting a tree with his car Wednesday morning.

Police say 18-year-old Safwaan Dalal was speeding before his car left the road, hit the curb, and then a large tree. It happened just after 7 a.m. along Vernon Street in Manchester.

The accident is still being investigated but police say it looks like speed was a factor.
