People trapped in car under down wires

SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH)– Southington police confirm there was a person trapped in a car that was caught under some wires due to a fallen pole.

The pole snapped in half sending wires down on to the car on South End Road.

The victim had to wait for Connecticut Light and Power to shut off the power so the wires can be removed.

No injuries have been reported.

Police are urging people to stay off the roads tonight due to down trees and wires.
