2 sex assault arrests made in Vernon

VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in Vernon have arrested two people in separate sex assault cases.

27-year-old Jessica Wine was charged with conspiracy to commit sex assault and risk of injury to a minor.  An investigation began back in the Spring of 2013 when Vernon Police learned that Jessica’s husband was allegedly sexually assaulting minors during sleepovers at their home. Detectives discovered Jessica was involved and allegedly had sexual contact with one of the children.  Her husband has already been charged and his case is pending in court.

In another unrelated case, Vernon police arrested 37-year-old JeanPaul Porlier and charged him with possible sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

This investigation began in April 2014 when police received a report of a possible sexual assault involving a 13 year-old girl.  Through an extensive investigation detectives found that Porlier allegedly inappropriately touched this victim.
