STORRS, Conn. (AP) — The University of Connecticut is launching a promotion linking the sale of season football tickets to free tickets for members of the military.

The school says it will donate one ticket for its Sept. 27 home game against Temple to a member of the military for every season ticket or mini-package it sells through July 7.

The state Office of Veterans Affairs and Military Programs is assisting the school in distributing the free tickets.

The season tickets, which run from $175 to $420 depending on the seat, cover all seven home games. The mini-packages are priced from $90 for three games.

In addition to Temple, the Huskies have home games against BYU, Stony Brook, Boise State, Central Florida, Cincinnati and SMU this season.
