Conn. man arrested on endangerment charge

UNIONVILLE, Conn. (AP) — A Unionville man has been arrested after police say he was armed with a handgun and threatened suicide at his apartment with his wife and child present.

Farmington police say that as officers responded Saturday night, the wife and child of Kurt M. Jauron left their apartment.

The 48-year-old Jauron was charged with breach of peace, risk of injury to a minor and reckless endangerment. He was released on a $50,000 bond and taken to the UConn Medical Center for evaluation.

Police advised neighbors to stay indoors as Jauron was talked out of his apartment.

A Glock handgun was taken from the apartment.

It was not known Sunday if Jauron was is represented by a lawyer.
