Man struck by car killed

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police are investigating the death of a pedestrian struck and killed by a car in New Haven.

It happened it happened at the intersection of Whalley Avenue and Ella Grasso Blvd. around 12:30 Monday morning.

The man who was killed has not been identified. He was not carrying identification. Police believe victim was in the crosswalk at the time of being hit by car.

Police tell News 8 the driver stayed on the scene, so this is not considered a hit and run.

Police say the driver was not intoxicated, and there were no skid marks on the road.
