NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– A Woodbridge mother was arrested for leaving her 7-year-old child unattended in the car while she shopped at the North Haven Target, Thursday.

Police say a concerned citizen called police to the Target on Universal Drive, where they found a 7-year-old who was left in a car alone for 20 minutes.

The mother of the child, Elizabeth Ball, was located and charged with leaving a child under the age of 12 unattended in a motor vehicle. She will appear in court July 17th.
