HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)– A Hamden man was arrested Wednesday for threatening to shoot his neighbor.

Police say they responded to an animal nuisance at 46 Glenbrook Avenue around 10:30 a.m. where three pit bulls escaped and attacked another dog that was roaming in the area.

When the owner of the pit bulls went to separate them, he saw his neighbor, Ivan Bobe Jr., kicking them.

Bobe then pointed a firearm at the victim and threatened to shoot him.

He was arrested for reckless endangerment, threatening and breach of peace. Police also seized his .380 caliber handgun.

Bobe was released on $1,000 bond.

Hamden Animal Control is also investigating the involvement of the pit bulls.
