Police Officers threatened with gun

Bristol, Conn. (WTNH) – Police officers were threatened by a man with a gun Thursday night.

Officers were responding to a 911 call from a home on Emmett Street, and when they arrived, they found a man who was hostile, and holding a pistol.

Police say the man pointed the gun at the officers.  Those officers were able to grab the man, subdue him, and grab his gun. Three officers were involved in bringing the suspect under control.  One of the officer suffered minor injuries.

The suspect is identified as Robert Kennedy, 33, from Meriden.  He was arrested and now faces charges including Assault on a Police Officer.   He is free on bond tonight.
