Teen charged in several car burglaries

SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — An 18-year-old Southington man will be in court later this month after his arrest for breaking into several cars.

Ryan Germaine faces 12 counts of burglary for what Southington Police said were multiple car burglaries that took place on May 18. He surrendered after learning police had a warrant for his arrest.

Southington Police said in a news release posted on Facebook:

“The warrant alleges Germaine burglarized twelve parked unlocked vehicles in Southington on May 18, 2014. Various items were taken from the vehicles which include GPS units, various electronic items, small assorted items, and money.”

Germaine was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond. He’s due in court on July 21.
