NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Weather has delayed a plan to close Exit 2 on Route 34 going into Downtown New Haven, but only for a day or two.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation planned to close the exit Monday night, and redirect traffic onto a newly expanded and revamped Exit 1. The storm and heavy rain washed away those plans.
But ConnDOT announced this morning they will make the change overnight Wednesday. So commuters going into New Haven later this week will find themselves with only one exit from Route 34.
