HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are seeking information about a driver who hit a disabled Hamden resident July 11, sending her to the hospital with a fractured vertebra and lacerations.
Police said Tuesday that the 47-year-old woman was standing near Krauszers on State Street near Ridge Street before 6:30 a.m. when a man driving a Nissan hit her.
“The male operator of the motor vehicle exited and spoke with the disabled victim. He then entered his vehicle and left the scene of the accident. Unfortunately, police were unable to elicit further information from the female victim,” police said.
The woman was subsequently transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Peter Conti at (203) 230-4000.
