Police: Ansonia teen ran away

ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a runaway teenager from Beaver Street.
Police said they received a report July 14 at 8:15 p.m. that Maria Romero, 14, had not been seen since 5:45 p.m. the same day.
“Police are asking asking for help from the public in locating the teen and reuniting her family,” said Ansonia Police Lt. Andrew Cota.
The girl was last seen at her home by mother.
Romero is described at 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a short-sleeved shirt, stone-washed blue jeans with cuts, sneakers and black glasses.
She may be with friends in Ansonia, and does not have any known form of transportation, police said.
