Two man accused of stealing car they wanted to buy

West Haven, Conn. (WTNH) –  Two West Haven men are facing charges after police say they tried to steal a car during a ‘test drive’.

Police say Travis Breda and Stephen Verity Met up with the owner of a Ford Mustang that was for sale.

When the owner let them take it for a ride the men allegedly didn’t bring it back.  The men told police they paid for the car – and even showed up at the police station with a *forged* bill of sale and the title.  Both men are facing a list of charges including larceny and forgery.
