Citizens Bank and News 8 representatives announce Orchard House as new Champion in Action

Orchard House Medical Adult Day Center was announced as the new Champion in Action on Thursday July 18, 2014.The Champions in Action program is a Citizens Bank initiative to support the efforts of charitable organizations working to make a difference locally.  In partnership with News 8, a Champion receives $35,000 unrestricted funds, public service announcements and public relations and promotional support.

Orchard House Medical Adult Day Center is dedicated to helping seniors along the Connecticut shoreline and Greater New Haven area to live independently for as long as possible.  Orchard House offers adult day programming and services six days a week including health monitoring and structured activities which meet the individual needs of clients and their families. Orchard House seeks to enhance the quality of life for the individuals it serves by providing support in a home-like setting that encourages independence and friendship.

The Orchard’s House’s role in strengthening Connecticut communities is a vital one.  As Connecticut’s senior population continues to grow and families look for alternatives to institutionalized nursing homes, organizations like the Orchard House take the lead with innovation, compassion and support for families.
