SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH)– Several people were evacuated after a condo complex caught fire in South Windsor Saturday morning.

The South Windsor Fire Department says when they arrived in the 1000 block of Misty Meadow Lane around 6 a.m., the rear of the unit was fully involved in fire. The initial crews on scene made an aggressive interior attack but were forced out right before the roof collapsed, officials said. Several other crews from towns nearby also responded to help put out the fire.
