24-year-old stabbed in abdomen at Vernon apartment


VERNON, Conn. (WTNH)– Vernon police are investigating a stabbing of a 24-year-old man that happened early Sunday.

Police say they were notified of a stabbing victim at Rockville General Hospital just before 3 a.m. The victim had been stabbed in the abdomen in an apartment. He was treated at Rockville General Hospital before being transferred to Hartford Hospital where he underwent surgery. He is currently is stable condition.

Officers learned that the stabbing happened at the Vernon Pines apartments at 17 Regan Street. Detectives responded to that location to process the scene and execute a search warrant. No arrests have been made at this time.

Anyone with information on the stabbing is asked to contact Vernon Police. All callers will remain anonymous.
