How to Make Wine at Home

WTNH– Mike Krenesky from Beacon Falls Rotary Club talks home wine making and Best Grapes in the Valley fundraiser.

Krenesky began making wine in 2012, when his son gave me a start-up wine making kit for Christmas.  Since that first wine he has averaged about four wines every year.

The fundraiser is actually two events, a Home wine maker contest and a wine tasting evening and a contest. Entrants are asked to submit two bottles for each of their homemade wine they would like to have judged.  Judging is being provided by their event partner Maltose Express of Monroe.  Wines are due by July 26th at Maltose, but this is being extended to August 2nd.

The Beacon Falls Rotary Club was chartered in 2010 in CT Rotary District 7980.  They are currently twelve members strong and actively looking for new members.  They are the Charter Organization for Cub Scout Pack 2010 in Beacon Falls.
