FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH)– Around 2:30AM on July 23, firefighters responded to a tractor-trailer rollover in front of the Dunkin’ Donuts on the Post Road.

The accident involved a tractor-trailer and a small SUV. Firefighters found the front-end of the Fed Ex tractor-trailer on its side when they arrived, while its trailer remained upright.

The SUV remained in the roadway, both the driver of the tractor-trailer and the two people in the SUV were okay.

Officials were concerned because the tractor-trailer contained 80 gallons of diesel fuel and several gallons of motor oil. The CT DEEP was contacted. Firefighters along with DEEP worked together to get the tractor-trailer upright, to try and avoid any environmental impact.
