Fire displaces Bristol family

BRISTOL, Conn., (WTNH) — A Bristol family lost their belongings after a fire on Brook Street Friday, according to the American Red Cross.

The Red Cross is providing emergency food, clothing and toiletries to the adult and child. The child also received a stuffed toy. Red Cross team members Patricia Calcinari and Rebecca Johnson helped them, said Paul Shipman, communications officer.

“American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers,” Shipman said. For more information about the Red Cross and how you can help, visit
