Second New Haven ‘tent city’ taken down

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – A second tent city popped up in New Haven, and like the first one, the city quickly took it down.

It took the city less than two days to take action on the 600-block of Howard Street.

The homeless protesters are demanding changes. They say they’re being criminalized for having no place to go. Three community members from the Amistad Catholic Worker House were arrested.
