In the Kitchen: Healthy Smoothies

WTNH– Food blogger of “Healthy. Happy. Life.” and cookbook author  Kathy Patalsky shows how to make healthy smoothies.

She brings a trio of summer smoothies for a healthy happy summer, featuring recipes from her book “365 Vegan Smoothies” and her website / Healthy Happy Life. For a healthy habit,  Patalsky says a smoothie a day. She shuts off all phones, computers and just enjoys her smoothie and some chill-out time for 20 minutes a day.

Why smoothies? Five reasons why:

1. Easy to digest.

2. Fill up on fruits and veggies easily.

3. Perfect fit for busy schedules.

4. Kids love smoothies.

5. Smoothies are fun and creative.

Smoothie tip: chew your smoothie and boost it by adding vegan protein. Patalsky also founded a website filled with blogger-submitted vegan recipes.
