What you need to know about concussions

WTNH– Physiatrist Subramani Seetharama, MD from MidState Medical Center talks about concussions.

With fall sports around the corner, concussions are a timely health topic to talk about.

He explains exactly what a concussion is, the symptoms of one, and the prolonged problems that can occur after a concussion is sustained. Seetharama also tells us what “brain rest” mean and how kids can safely “return-to-play” and “return-to-learn” following a concussion.

The MidState’s Concussion Clinic in Cheshire can help. The Concussion Clinic is located at the MidState Family Health Center on 680 South Main Street, Cheshire. They are open Monday evenings by appointment, 3 to 6 p.m.
