Fuel spill in Redding

REDDING, Conn. (WTNH) — DEEP officials were on the scene of a home heating oil spill in Redding.

The emergency crews responded to reports that a tank at 29 Birch Road was damaged during demolition work.

About 40 gallons escaped from a 275 gallon tank in the garage.  Almost all of those 40 gallons were recovered from the hard surface of the driveway.

DEEP tells us that there was minimal environmental impact.
