Gun stolen in Waterbury seized in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was arrested for allegedly firing a stolen gun at a passing car in New Haven earlier this month.

Police say the shots were fired on Hallock Avenue back on July 17. Police say they found a number of shell casings at the scene, but no victim’s or damage.

Witnesses told police the gun was fired at a passing car. After investigating, police arrested 21-year-old Michael DeJesus of New Haven on July 29. Police found the gun, and a large amount of ammunition.

Police say, the gun was stolen from a home in Waterbury. DeJesus is a convicted felon and faces a number of new charges.
