Milford PD search for suspect in armed gas station robbery

Surveillance for the armed robbery at 305 New Haven Avenue in Milford.

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Milford police are looking for the man discharged his gun, which injured an employee, during a robbery Monday night.

Police say a man entered the Quick Food mart at 305 New Haven Avenue around 11 p.m. and demanded money from the store clerk. The suspect then discharged his gun, striking the employee in the leg. The victim’s injury is non-life  gunshot in milford armed robberythreatening. The suspect then fled on foot from the store and headed southbound on Buckingham Avenue. The suspect’s gun was recovered at the crime scene.

Police describe the suspect as a 5’8″ tall, black male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a light colored shirt. The man tried to cover his face by wearing the hood of the sweatshirt on his head.
