MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut’s congressional delegation is hosting a fair to help municipalities, nonprofit organizations and state agencies obtain federal grants.

The day-long event was planned Tuesday at Middlesex Community College in Middletown. In a written statement, the delegation said the fair will help connect local leaders with opportunities for federal funding.

Representatives from various federal agencies are scheduled to be on hand, including the Department of Education, Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Additionally, representatives from the National Park Service, Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration and the Small Business Administration will speak with participants about funding opportunities and how to successfully apply for grants.
