Shelton police: pair stole nearly $25K in burglary

SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Two people are charged with taking nearly $25,000 in a July 2013 home burglary.

Kenneth Milligan, 24, and Caroline Bevans, 24, both of Mica Court, are each charged with first-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny and first-degree burglary. Bevans was also charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary. They were arrested Tuesday.

Police said the two took $24,400 from an Oak Avenue home, and knew the owner, police said.

Milligan is free on $50,000 bond and Bevans on $10,000 bond, for appearances Aug. 19 in Derby Superior Court.
