2 charged with threatening, falsely reporting incident

VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in Vernon have arrested two people on arrest warrants stemming back to June.

According to police, Patreece Eady called 911 reporting that someone had kicked in her door when she was home with her child.  She says she was able to flee and call police.

An investigation revealed this was not true, but that Eady’s boyfriend was the one who damaged the door.

When police went to arrest him, they observed him driving with illegal tinted windows and could smell marijuana.

Both Eady and her boyfriend, Branden Edwards were arrested.

Eady is facing charges for giving a false statement and interfering with police.  Edwards is facing charges for possession of narcotics, threatening and criminal mischief.
