Connecticut man faces drug charges


BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) — A 48-year-old man has been charged with drug offenses after officers arrested him in a park in Bristol.

Andre Allen of Bristol was arrested by officers investigating park violations in Brackett Park on Tuesday. Police say he had marijuana, 150 bags of heroin and a “considerable amount” of cash.

He has been charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell along with four other offenses. He’s being held on $50,000 bond.

It wasn’t immediately known if Allen has a lawyer.
