2 alarm fire breaks out in Waterbury home

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH)– A Waterbury home was damaged after a fire broke out early Thursday morning.

The Waterbury Fire Department was on scene putting out the two alarm fire at 51 Hidden Pond Road, off of Grassy Hill Road. Fire officials say the call came in just after 5:30 a.m.

There were no injuries but the home was heavily damaged. There is smoke damage and the windows of the home are broken.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The incident is under investigation.
