NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A group in New Haven has voted on some local redevelopment projects.

The first proposal submitted by Spinnaker Residential LLC called for demolition of the existing Comcast building.  It calls for multifamily residential apartments in its place.

The Mill River redevelopment plan calls for expansion of New Haven’s commercial and industrial base in the Mill River district.

The goal for this plan is to return the River Street district into a thriving center with more opportunity for employment. The group estimates an additional 30 jobs could be brought to the city.
