Police: Norwich man broke 2-year-old’s leg

NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — A Norwich man allegedly punched and dragged a 2-year-old he was caring for Friday.

Anyello Frayind, 29, of Central Avenue, is charged with second-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor.

Police said the child suffered a broken femur and drag marks on his face, neck and chest. Police were notified when the child was being treated at WW Backus Hospital. He was later transferred to Hartford Children’s Hospital and “is expected to make a full recoverry,” police said.

Frayind was held on a $100,000 bond with a court date of Aug. 21.
