FYI — Uniqlo offers free in-houe alterations for pants/jeans for everyone on items priced $20 or higher — and they can typically be done on the same day!
2. ELECTRONICS: Best Buy providing 2 tablets — Many schools in CT now require schools to supply tablets for students – 2 of the most family-friendly tablets are the Kindle Fire HD and the Samsung Galaxy Tablet 4 — they have all the feature and adult would want and all those a kid would want and need for school as well –
The Kindle Fire HD is one of the most budget-friendly tablets on the market…selling for less than $120 for the 8GB version — Kindle FreeTime is free on every new Kindle Fire which allows parents to create a profile for each of their children and choose what books, apps, games and videos their kids can have access to — they can also set daily limits for tablet use or restrict certain categories — (Kindle Freetime Unlimited is the first ever all in one subscription that brings together kid-friendly books, games, educational apps, movies and TV shows from all the kids faves like Disney, Nickelodeon, Sesame Street, PBS and more — for just $2.99 per month)
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 is a bit more expensive — but they have an excellent “Kids Mode” that offers a child-friendly interface — again, you can create a separate profile for your kids and switch to Kids Mode which is fun and easy to control — parents can track the time their kids spend and even set preferences to manage which features children can access — there is a lot of fun educational content for children.
3. SCHOOL ITEM: Lunch bags — Every kid in elementary school wants to carry a “cool” lunch box and now TJ Maxx has them…for great prices. TJ Maxx is known for being a “budget-friendly” store and now parents can choose for a large variety of lunch boxes/bags for kids with all their favorite characters — at a great price! In the spirit of getting the most bang-for-your-buck, not only do they have great lunch bags that kids love and that are insulated to keep food cold, but they also come with the containers for sandwiches, snacks…whatever you may want to pack for your child.
