Online tool available to find Connecticut polling places

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut voters can use an online tool to locate their polling place for this week’s primary.

The tool was developed by the Pew Center on the States’ Voting Information Project in partnership with Google and Microsoft. It shows voters a map with directions showing how to reach their local polling precinct. It also includes a list of Republican and Democratic candidates on Tuesday’s primary ballot in their voting districts.

Secretary of the State Denise Merrill said the online polling place locator “is a wonderful example” of how technology is making it easier to vote.

The tool can be accessed online by visiting Merrill’s office at .

Eligible voters who’ve not yet registered for the primary can do so in person at town offices by noon Aug. 11.
