Arrest made in Bridgeport fatal hit & run

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH)– An arrest has been made in the Bridgeport hit and run that left a 21-year-old man dead Saturday.

Police say Tyron Tate was killed after being struck by a car in the 600 block of Noble Avenue around 10 p.m. Witnesses at the scene told police that Tate was walking with several other people when he was hit in the roadway. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Dennis Berrios, 36, of Bridgeport, has been charged with evading responsibility. The incident is under investigation and he may face additional chargers.
