FBI investigating shooting of unarmed teen

FERGUSON, Mo. (WTNH) — The FBI is now investigating the shooting of an unarmed teen in Missouri.

They’re checking into possible civil rights violations after a St. Louis police officer fatally shot 18-year-old Michael Brown.

The agency officially opened that investigation on Monday.  Police say Brown was shot multiple times Saturday in an altercation with an officer.

A candlelit vigil was held for Brown yesterday shortly followed by riots and looting.

Nearly three dozen people were arrested as crowds burned down stores.
