Police investigate Hamden shooting

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)- Hamden police are looking for a shooter who shot a man in the arm Saturday, August 9.

Police say around 2 am, Hamden Police responded to the area of Goodrich Street and Dixwell Avenue on a reported shots fired complaint.  As officers arrived on scene,  New Haven PD personnel was already with the victim in the area of Gem Street and Daisy Street.

The victim was shot in the arm in the area of Gem Street and Goodrich Street before fleeing the area. The victim was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Evidence collected at the scene indicated that the shots were fired from an AK-47 type weapon.
