SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — A Windsor Locks woman is accused of taking jewelry from the home of an acquaintance, police said Thursday.

Paula Hoyt, 49, of Denslow Street, is charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny. Police said a Fairview Drive resident reported that jewelry had been taken from her home in July 2014. Investigation led to Hoyt’s arrest on a warrant, police said. Hoyt knew the homeowners, police added.

The warrant was served Tuesday with a bond of $5,000, and Hoyt is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court.
