MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — A man allegedly slammed a door into a woman’s face, choked her and punched her Thursday afternoon.
The woman was treated at Middlesex Hospital for a concussion, bloody nose and a facial bruise. The suspect, Donald Holder, 32, is charged with third-degree assault. Police said Holder knocked on her Main Street apartment door and the two got into an argument. He walked away but she followed him and tried to lock him out of the building, police said.
Holder then slammed the door against her, pinning her against the wall and injuring her face, police said. Then he punched her twice, grabbed her by the neck and swung her around, before walking away.
Holder’s bond was set at $5,000 for an appearance in court.
