State Senator in recovery

State Senator Andrew Maynard

STONINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) – State Senator Andrew Maynard has been moved transferred to a rehab facility in New Britain from Rhode Island Hospital, to continue his recovery after a bad fall he took last month.

Maynard fell down an outdoor staircase to the cement below at his home in Stonington three weeks ago.  He suffered a traumatic head injury.

In a statement released by Senate Democrats, Maynard’s sister says her brother will continue his physical and occupational therapy at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain. She says his recovery has been “slow, yet positive.”
